Children are at every family table. This is how we protect them.

Accounts

You must be 16 or older to hold an account. We ask you to confirm your age when you sign up. If we learn that an account belongs to someone younger, we will close it and delete their personal information, keeping anything they added to a family's Table only if a parent or guardian asks us to.

A parent or guardian can keep a child's recipes, drawings and memories in their own Table. Accounts for younger people with a guardian's involvement may come later.

Children in photographs and stories

• Everything in a Table is private to that Table by default.
• Content showing children is never publicly indexed by search engines.
• When public sharing arrives in future, images of children will need a separate, explicit confirmation before they can be made public.
• We do not use facial recognition on any images.

If you are concerned

If you are a young person, or a parent or guardian, and you want something about a child removed, use our contact page. You don't need an account. We treat these requests as a priority.
